Note: Hwy. US 1 is a continuous strand of history that stretches, unbroken, from Main Street in Fort Kent, Maine to Truman Ave. in Key West, Florida, and spans 2,142.4 miles. Ridgeway, N.C. is on that strand.
Directions to Ridgeway from:
Zebulon/ I-64 area Go Northwest from Zebulon on 96…..Exit onto bi-pass US 1 North….
Travel to and past Henderson…..just past Henderson there is a sign (pointing to the right) that says “Norlina”……Exit onto US 1 Business-North…..Travel North on
US 1 through Middleburg….through Manson and then to Ridgeway. The Opry House is on
the left as you enter Ridgeway from the South.
Winston-Salem area Travel on I-40 East and merge onto I-85 North. When you reach the Henderson area, start looking for exit 223 or the Manson exit. Go to top of exit ramp and turn right.
Follow that road and it will “T-bone” on US 1 North. Turn left onto US 1 North and go to Ridgeway.
Atlanta, Ga. and points Southwest Travel on I-85 North when you reach the Henderson, N.C. area, follow directions as exit 223 above.
Washington, D.C. and points North Travel on I-95 South to I-85 South. After you pass
South Hill, Va., start looking for exit 233 or the Wise exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto
US 1 South. Go through Norlina (one stop light) to Ridgeway (no stop lights). The Opry House is on
the right, beyond the Post Office.
Wilmington, N.C. area Travel on I-40 West to the Raleigh area, merge onto the beltline around Raleigh, take US 1 North to the Ridgeway Opry House.
Savanna, Ga. and points South Travel on I-95 North, merge onto I-40 West, merge
onto the beltline around Raleigh, merge onto US 1 North and strike out for Ridgeway.
